Betsy Eats Her Noodles

Yes, she's eating Ramen. I've been telling people since she was born that she'd be a fantastic co-ed!

Big Girl Breakfast

Here you can see that Betsy no longer looks like a baby! She is asking me every morning for "two bows" which we inevitably lose by naptime at daycare. According to my experience the other night she may or may not be swallowing her hair ties. I guess it's a good thing that they're those clear, tiny plastic ones, right?
And since you see her breakfast here, this is a funny story: The child eats more oatmeal than I would imagine possible for someone wo only weighs 25 pounds. This is a typical breakfast at our house: 2 bowls of oatmeal, this size. Except then she goes to the sitter, and weasels more oatmeal out of her. At least she's regular...

Betsy and the Dry Ice Bubbles

What do you get when you mix dry ice, hot water, and dish soap? Tons of bubbles filled with fog!

Today, William, one of the other Integrators at work was doing this demonstration with a group of 5th grade students. He graciously sent it home with us and Betsy definitely enjoyed. Thanks, William!

*Please note! If you try this at home, make sure that you DO NOT touch the dry ice with your bare hands as it will burn. Use a pot holder or tongs and make sure that children do not touch!*

Betsy and Rhonda

DSC01898, originally uploaded by amyton.

Mom's best friend from high school, Rhonda, is out for a visit. Betsy definitely thought she was great and if you ask her what Rhonda says, she'll tell you "Cheese." I guess that might give you a hint about what Rhonda's been doing!

The last of the birthday presents finally arrived and Betsy thinks the markers are the best part of all.
